Engage and excite our users with events that matter to them by personalizing their Android App experience!
Some of the major objectives and goals for this role include:
Deliver a personalized experience to all users that gets better as they are more active on Eventbrite.
Experiment with delivering event recommendations and learn what users like.
Modernize and refactor our app to achieve the optimum balance of performance and maintainability.
The Personalization team gathers all we know about event attendees and recommends events that interest them. 
Join our engineering team and help make Eventbrite an indispensable platform for finding the best events anywhere in the world.  You'll build products that deeply understand the interests of users so we can re-engage them with the right events at the right time.  You'll work directly with product management, product design, and data analysts to get a deep understanding of how our users explore our inventory and you will architect the systems to most effectively satisfy our users’ needs. 


    • Many years of experience as an Android engineer building high performing and reliable apps.
    • Experience aligning design, product and engineering goals
    • Efficient, practical programmer with a record of producing maintainable code
    • Ability to take initiative and produce results with great communication and collaboration skills
    • Desire to work on a highly visible product that impacts millions of users
    • ​​Experience with unit and UI testing Android applications
    • Experience with continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automating release processes


    • Experience with personalization and recommendations
    • Experience with MVI Clean Architecture
    • Experience with backend coding in Python and Django
    • Have worked specifically in an e-commerce or marketplace setting
    • Experience with rapid prototyping and experimentation
