Our employees have the flexibility to work in one of our office locations, completely remote, or a hybrid of the two. Please note, we are hiring on a remote working basis only in the U.S. and Canada.
Basis’ Product Experience team is responsible for delivering leading user experiences and supporting the required user-outcomes across our solutions and products. This team blends focus, collaboration, and creativity to fulfill our mission in creating a transformative tool that makes work more streamlined and fulfilling for those who power the ad tech industry.
Customer experience is at the forefront of this team’s work—and also includes market research, cross-departmental stakeholder collaboration, user testing, communicating feature requests to engineers and designers, monitoring impact of new feature rollouts, measuring returns on product investments, and more. Together, they leverage their diverse industry experience and talent to brainstorm new ideas, iterate on old ones, and create the best possible product for our customers. 
Our customers live in our application many hours a day, negotiating, analyzing, and reconciling complex deals at blazing speed. We are looking for someone who is excited to work with a dedicated team of product managers, designers and developers to solve complicated problems. You will also contribute by:

    • Leading research projects with features teams using a variety of methodologies, which may include usability testing, concept testing, surveys, card sorting, heuristic analysis, usage analysis, and more 
    • Building a unified understanding of our target users through remote and in-person shadowing sessions, interviews, contextual-inquiries, diary studies, competitive analysis, and more 
    • Scaling up the organization’s knowledge of and skills around research best practices through mentorship with junior teammates and contributions to educational activities open all colleagues 
    • Spreading awareness of our users’ behaviors and needs effectively and actionably across the organization through synthesis and delivery of research insights 
    • Collaborating with partners in product design, product management, engineering, and more to leverage user insights while making strategic development decisions 
    • Constructing frameworks to bring consistency and rigor to the research practice across the organization 
    • Immersing yourself in the complex world of digital advertising, building up your expertise in its processes, challenges, and opportunities 
    • Partnering with colleagues across the organization to foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and consistency in user outreach 


    • 5+ years of experience in user research, preferably in product development and SaaS 
    • A versatile portfolio that highlights skills and knowledge across a variety of research methodologies 
    • Self-starter; requires little oversight in day-to-day work 
    • Effective and responsive verbal and written communication skills 
    • Ability to apply organization and build foundations to expedite and improve future work 
    • Enthusiasm for collaboration with cross-functional teams 
    • Willingness to be flexible and constructively adapt to change 
    • A fun, positive attitude that embodies the Basis Manifesto


    • Familiarity with advertising/ad-tech landscape and SaaS 
    • Comfortable with remote moderation, structured research deliverables (personas, journey maps, workflows, etc), and low-fidelity iterative testing techniques
