About the Role:
As our Sr. People Operations Generalist, you will be a core member of our People team whose goal is to develop and maintain an environment where our employees can thrive as we continue to grow & scale. This role is one that will support and align with the organization’s business goals, objectives, and strategies while also honoring each individual’s contribution to and journey at Airbase. You should have a strong grasp on core HR foundations, and be excited to implement policies and programs in an innovative way globally.  This is a brand new role that will work closely with all levels of the organization, report directly to our Director of People and, while our team is fully remote and globally distributed, we have a strong preference for candidates in the Eastern time zones of Canada & the United States.

What you’ll do

    • Develop, scale, and document HR programs, processes and systems related to compliance, workforce planning, employee relations, benefits, performance management, etc.
    • Maintain People policies and employee handbooks that provide clarity in an on-brand voice and update as needed
    • Stay up to date on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations in North America, and review policies and practices to maintain compliance
    • Oversee the refresh of our benefits offerings and lead annual open enrollment for US-based employees, including: Retirement/401k, health/medical, wellness and other rewards programs that are competitive and comprehensive
    • Develop and roll out effective Learning & Development opportunities for all employees
    • Manage and maintain the HRIS to support efficient delivery of information to employees, managers, and leadership

What we’re looking for

    • 5+ years of experience as a People Operations Generalist with some global experience preferred
    • Passionate about people and creating an inclusive culture where everyone can thrive
    • Energized by building - you’ll be joining a small team and helping us build our foundational People programs so demonstrated project management experience is a must
    • Ability to operate well and build relationships in a fast moving & changing environment and provide clarity in ambiguous situations
    • PHR or SHRM-CP is a plus
