Tribe Dynamics was built by a small team but has a huge foothold as the primary Influencer Community Analytics solution for iconic beauty, fashion, and lifestyle brands. Our customers have come to rely on our data, metrics, and product to track and measure high-impact creator content from their most passionate ambassadors, identify opportunities for future creator activations, and benchmark efforts against their past activations, their competitors, and their industry-at-large.
Core to our success has been a deep focus on a clearly defined product value proposition and our ability to condition the market for the solutions our product provides. To build on this success, we are actively seeking an enthusiastic, bright mind to join our team to shape the Product Marketing function at Tribe. This role sits within the larger Product team, made up of our passionate Product Managers, Designers, and Education Specialists, and comes with the opportunity to evolve how we bring the voice of the market into our product strategy as well as how we bring new solutions to the market through launch and adoption campaigns.

In this role you'll:

    • Establish the role of Product Marketing: You'll be the founding member of Tribe's Product Marketing function with the opportunity to shape it into a "full-stack" role that spans areas such as market research, product strategy, launch, and adoption. If you're a self-starter and are ready to make our nascent activities into best-in-class processes - this is the role for you.
    • Be a core stakeholder throughout the product cycle: We'll look to you to bring the voice of the market to our internal teams and the voice of our product to our customers. It'll be your mission to help new and existing customers adopt and clearly understand the value of Tribe Dynamics within influencer marketing strategies.
    • Partner cross-functionally: You'll have a seat at the table ****when we’re deciding what to build next and how to best position and socialize our solutions internally and externally. You'll play an integral role in the feature development phase by planning for launch well before we are ready for launch by partnering with our Product Education, Sales Enablement, and Content Marketing teams to translate the messaging of our solutions into effective go-to-market campaigns.

What you'll achieve:

    • You'll develop a deep understanding of Tribe's customers, products, data, and industry
    • You'll work alongside Product to shape our product strategy and participate in the full product development cycle to establish adoption and retention strategies
    • You'll drive the internal and external alignment of Tribe's value proposition and the narrative around the Customer Jobs that we design to solve
    • You'll conduct market research and partner with our revenue team to inform Tribe's software pricing strategies to advance business objectives
    • You'll own the creation of Tribe's customer personas and empower internal teams to tailor their activities to address their needs
    • You'll collaborate with Tribe's Product Education and Customer Success teams to inform adjustments to their services and deliverables to keep up with the evolution of our software
    • You'll partner with Sales Enablement and Marketing to develop Tribe's high-level narratives to ensure a consistent message across our awareness and demand generation campaigns

Skills you'll need to bring:

    • You have 3-5 years of Product Marketing or Product Management experience at a B2B SaaS company and have had a hand in bringing products to market through cross-functional efforts
    • You have a track record of exceptional product positioning, messaging, and storytelling skills, and have example work to demonstrate your strengths
    • Your written and verbal communication skills are simple and effective, and you feel confident presenting to small and large groups
    • You have the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels while working cross-functionally with product, education, marketing, and customer-facing teams to build alignment around current and upcoming product objectives
    • Conducting customer and market research excites you, and you feel comfortable translating your learnings into actionable next-steps
    • You have a growth mindset, a passion for leveling up yourself and those around you, and enjoy propelling solutions to areas of opportunity

Nice to haves:

    • You've helped design the product marketing function at a startup and care more about helping customers realize the value of the product over fitting a defined role and set of responsibilities
    • You're familiar with product analytics tools (we use Mixpanel) to gather pre-and post-launch insights to demonstrate the impact of our initiatives
    • You're interested in the future of the Creator Economy, and have opinions on the recent history and trends in the market

About Us

    • Valerie Pitsch (she/her) originally joined the company as an Account Manager in 2017, and moved onto the Product Team as Tribe's Lead Product Manager in 2018. She came to Tribe with a background in marketing and research, and after working directly with Tribe Dynamics' users, she seamlessly transitioned her current role grooming the product pipeline, conducting user research, and shaping opportunities for innovation. Valerie is the Hiring Manager for this position.
    • Krisna Sorathia (he/him) is the VP of Product and was the first hire at Tribe Dynamics, joining as an intern in the Summer of 2012. After working as a UI/UX Designer at Mindbody, he came back to lead the Product Team in 2015. He currently oversees Product Vision and Strategy and you'll partner with him to identify opportunities and ensure alignment with our company objectives.
    • Pei Choong (she/her) originally joined the company as an Account Manager in 2017, and moved onto the Product Team as a Product Support Specialist in 2019. Prior to supporting clients and users in her Account Manager role, Pei worked in SaaS ops and support. Since 2019, she has shaped her role as Tribe Dynamics' Product Education Lead, where she oversees product support and ongoing education. You'll partner with Pei to shape supporting materials for product launches and feature adoption.
    • Sarah Strauss (she/her) is one of our newer team members, joining us as our Director of Marketing to oversee Brand, Content, and Growth marketing initiatives at Tribe. Sarah comes with years of marketing experience, most recently Rightpoint, and has become integral to aligning our marketing direction for sustained growth. You'll partner with Sarah and her team to develop assets to support product launch and product positioning.
    • Riley McKay (she/her) originally joined Tribe in 2017 as a Senior Client partner, working directly with a book of clients by assisting them through Tribe's software and building strong personal relationships. She moved into a Director role on the Client Partner team, providing premium care and support for Tribe's key clients. In the past two years, she built out the Strategic Account Management process at Tribe, and you will work closely with her to ensure that our product direction is internally socialized with our customer-facing teams.
