Atlassian is looking for a passionate internal audit professional who will play a key role in helping the company meet its goals through independent reviews and assessments. Is that you?
Our Internal Audit team is seeking an Associate Manager to focus on SOX audits we perform across our global presence and help us continually improve our technology, processes, and controls. You will be part of an innovative team that collaborates with all parts of our business, examining business processes and internal controls with an eye for improving effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance. You will share your experience and great ideas to help enhance the ways Internal Audit and all of Atlassian work, enabling win-win solutions to business challenges.

On your first day, we’ll expect you to have

    • 4+ years of experience in an audit role from public accounting with multinational clients or public multinational company
    • CPA certification
    • Experienced in Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) audits
    • Knowledge in COSO, PCAOB Auditing Standards, IFRS and US GAAP preferred.
    • Confident to communicate in English, both orally and written
    • Highly proactive, organized and have a very strong work ethic
    • Actively contribute to a team environment

It’s preferred, but not required, that you have:

    • A degree focused on Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or Business Administration
    • Other professional certifications preferred (CIA, CRMA, others)
    • Experience in Big Four or Technology company
    • Experience navigating and extracting information from NetSuite or another equivalent ERP system, and experience with other SaaS financial systems
    • Experience working with process owners globally

In this role, you’ll get to:

    • Performs and documents SOX walkthroughs to confirm results of preliminary understanding of the process
    • Facilitate process documentation creation and changes
    • Design and perform test of controls to ascertain compliance to existing processes
    • Advise process owners regarding potential control or process enhancements
    • Lead and/or participate in projects independently from planning to execution
    • Provide regular updates to Internal Audit Managers
    • Participate in operational internal audit projects as required
    • Participate in forensic investigations as required
    • Contribute to the development of the Internal Audit function
