Eventbrite’s goal of building the marketplace for live experiences relies on our foundation of world-class talent and unbeatable company culture. Hiring top talent in some of the most competitive markets globally is no easy task, but we have a creative and dedicated team who has helped Eventbrite scale to over 700 Britelings in 10 countries over the past 10 years.
We’re looking for a Director, Global Talent Acquisition Strategy, Innovation, and Operations who thrives on creativity, innovation, and productivity. This is a highly impactful role that will lead significant short-term and long-term efforts contributing to the overall growth and productivity of the global Talent Acquisition team, enabling our team to grow Eventbrite, in the right way via attraction, recruitment, and hiring of top diverse talent.
Eventbrite Talent Acquisition strives to attract, source, and hire top talent, who in turn foster a diverse workplace and have rewarding careers. Our values are deeply rooted in our people first culture and creating delightful candidate and hiring manager experiences. We believe people are our greatest asset and the talent we attract drives the success of Eventbrite.
Our Talent Acquisition team is tight-knit, quick-moving, and fun-loving. We believe recruiting should be a company-wide effort and that hiring should be based on market intelligence, relationships and data/insights, not transactions. The Strategy, Innovation, and Operation Team will be an incubator for new and different recruiting practices. It will be a lean and agile team that focuses primarily on increasing the efficiency/effectiveness of recruiting operations. The team will also create and design forward-thinking, and at times experimental hiring practices, to ensure we are operating as a high performing talent acquisition team.
As the Director, Global Talent Acquisition Strategy, Innovation, and Operations, you will align our TA organization’s goals and processes to support Eventbrite’s growth, diversity, and other goals. You have the ability to operate in both a strategic, thought-leadership capacity as well as a tactical, execution-driven capacity. You will be responsible for ensuring that Talent Acquisition processes, programs and projects are holistically planned, establishing visibility into progress, and managing coordination of cross-team resources required to create the proper mix of talent, resources, and environment for successful delivery. You bring a deep understanding of the recruiting lifecycle and process and how to best optimize for effectiveness and efficiency.
We’re looking for someone who will be committed to consistently raising the bar for our Talent Acquisition organization, connecting dots, identifying trends, and generating ideas. We will lean on you to continually innovate how we work as you operate at the intersection of strategy, project management, and process innovation with a keen focus on execution and analysis of impact. You will be the connective tissue of all work across the Talent Acquisition organization and establish and maintain standards and frameworks to drive cross functional alignment and clarity on ways of working (communication, resource productivity and planning, budget alignment and management, talent management, etc.). Culture, communication and collaboration are strengths as you lead our Talent Acquisition team to support global hiring in an asynchronous fashion.

    • Experienced: 7+ years experience leading project management, portfolio management and process improvement strategy. 5+ years of recruiting experience with a deep understanding of each step in the recruitment life cycle. 5+ years of people management experience, with the drive and willingness to engage, coach and collaborate with individuals at all levels.
    • Results Oriented: You will lead the hiring standardization efforts to standardize and elevate the Eventbrite hiring process, where it makes sense for our teams. You will push forward all processes, projects, and logistics to ensure recruiting runs efficiently from the vantage point of all who participate in it. You will own all processes, best practices, and project management to ensure all stakeholders are on the same page and have what they need to consistently execute their respective roles.
    • Strategic: You will lead the design and implementation of complex Talent Acquisition projects bringing focus to structured program management and delivery and measurement of intended results. You have proven the ability to track, prioritize, and drive multiple projects successfully.
    • Innovative: You will develop creative solutions to problems that have not been tackled yet, proactively ensuring teams are equipped to deliver. You have experience affecting a culture of teamwork and trust and engaging employees undergoing an environment of continuous change and improvement.
    • Interpersonal communications skills: You will facilitate key decision making across all pillars within Talent Acquisition, keeping cross functional partners informed and aligned. You will drive the annual strategic hiring initiatives planning process, as well as weekly, monthly and quarterly leadership updates.
    • Influential: You effectively collaborate and influence across internal and external stakeholders by driving communication, information sharing, and alignment to ensure goals are met. You will build strong relationships across the organization to enable strong collaboration and a shared accountability to solve complex problems when necessary.
    • Flexible: You have experience leading and growing teams from strategy through to operational execution but also a willingness to jump in personally to do the work. You have experience with an organization that has undergone significant growth, change, and/or international expansion.
    • Delightful: As an ambassador of Eventbrite, you will amplify our core values and build employee connections; keeping our people informed and engaged, and driving the best experiences for committed and potential candidates, hiring managers, and cross functional partners.

    • Written and verbal proficiency in Spanish language is a nice compliment to support our global recruiting operations.
