Do you love running various revenue processes and systems? Are you passionate about leading and growing a team and guiding them to success? Do you get excited at the prospect of collaborating with the global finance team? If so, we’ve got a home for you here in our Revenue team.
Your primary role is to support our global Revenue Accounting team. You will play a critical role on Atlassian's operational revenue team by preparing and reviewing key areas of month-end close and financial reporting. You're a great fit for this role if you're highly motivated, love to learn, detail orientated, and have excellent communication and team-building skills. If you believe that you are flexible and passionate to tackle new challenges, we'll be glad to have you onboard.

In this role:

    • You are going to drive monthly/quarterly worldwide revenue accounting close activities
    • You will take charge in preparing audit schedules for the Company’s external and internal auditors
    • You are responsible for reviewing data and work papers for accuracy, completeness and validity
    • You will prepare the global revenue and deferred revenue reports to support internal and external reporting requirements, and assist in analysis of revenue variance
    • You will be assisting in the processing and calculation of non-standard customer contracts in the revenue system and other miscellaneous projects as needed to assist the revenue operations team
    • You will provide mentorship and lead your team in resolving issues, monitoring their workload, and partnership with other teams in resolving revenue related concerns.

On your first day, we will expect that:

    • You have at least 5 years of progressive experience in the accounting space
    • You have an experience leading teams and the passion to develop your team members into high-performing individuals
    • You hold a degree in Finance or Accounting
    • You have proven skills in excel, which includes Pivot Tables & V-Lookups
    • You are confident in your ability to communicate (in English) both verbally and written and to identify and drive process improvements, and collaborate and build strong relationships with your stakeholders through various platforms
    • You are highly dedicated, organized, and have a very strong work ethic, and have the appreciation of the need to see the bigger picture but are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and dig into the detail.

It's also great if you have:

    • You've had a solid revenue accounting experience
    • You have used Netsuite and/or RevPro
    • You have worked across different multinational and/or BPO/Shared Services Companies
    • You are a CPA license holder
