Atlassian can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity, assuming candidates have eligible working rights and a sufficient timezone overlap with their team. As our offices re-open, Atlassians can choose to work remotely or return to an office, unless it’s necessary for the role to be performed in the office. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.
Atlassian’s Migrations Platform team is currently building a suite of products to help customers migrate their data from self-managed server instances to Atlassian-hosted cloud in a fast and frictionless way. We are looking for an experienced content designer to help drive the strategy and delivery of information experiences that help customers throughout their migration journey.
Information is a powerful and essential element of user experiences. If that statement makes your eyes light up, you might be who we're looking for.
Content Designers at Atlassian look at the way we communicate with our customers as an end-to-end journey. We consider content to be a powerful and essential part of that journey. Our content experts work collaboratively across Atlassian to champion our design language, tell consistent stories and craft great customer experiences.
More about you
You’re passionate about building end-to-end content – from crafting information experiences within a product to authoring effective support content. Limited screen real estate is no obstacle. You explain complex product features succinctly and make every word part of a compelling whole.
You’re a thorough team player who understands that building great software products is all about teamwork. Beyond building impactful content experiences, you help drive projects that benefit the broader design & content design communities here at Atlassian.
Our ideal candidate has prior experience working as a content designer, content strategist, or UX writer within a design team. Candidates having experience in technical communication or content marketing, and willing to expand their horizons, are welcome to apply.
When you join the team, you'd be expected to have:
- great UX writing skills and knowledge of content design practices
- a love for both technical and non-technical content
- the ability to deeply understand the technical aspects of a product and translate that to a general audience
- experience crafting and driving content strategy for in-product content
- understanding of customer and user needs and translating that into high-quality product experiences
- skills in content testing and determining whether content is meeting the needs of customers
- experience working with software development teams, including designers, engineers and product managers
Not essential, but great if you also have:
- experience planning, conducting and analysing user interviews
- experience working on end-to-end journeys and customer experiences
- a penchant for measuring the impact of content through data and analytics
- experience mentoring others in content design and UX writing
Bonus points if you have experience working with admin experiences on a technical B2B product.
