Shopify’s mission is to make commerce better for everyone. From building a new product feature for our commerce platform, to helping a merchant troubleshoot an issue over the phone, we want to empower our ecosystem through our work.
Having a unified vision, a north star, is vitally important to ensure that we are all headed in the same direction. No matter the size or experience, we want to power every merchant’s experience. This is why we’re all here.
Shopify is now permanently remote, and we’re working towards a future that is digital by design. That location you see above? Consider it merely an example of hundreds of potential locations across North America where Shopify is hiring. Learn more here: https://www.shopify.com/careers/work-anywhere

Day-to-day operations: assisting our Capital Operations team on daily funding releases, large-loan credit analysis and implementing operational efficiencies for continued scale
An undergraduate degree; advanced degrees or credentials (e.g., MBA, CFA) are a bonus
Experience in asset-based lending or structured finance (warehouse lending, whole loans and / or securitization)
A proven track record of being involved in day-to-day operations of your previous roles
Exceptional communication skills, and the ability to explain complex issues in a simple, clear, and concise manner to influence strategic decisions
An analytical mindset with experience in credit and cash flow modeling
A high degree of integrity, accountability, intellectual curiosity, and sound judgment
A deep curiosity and a willingness to break free from the status quo
Strong project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, changing environment
The ability to work productively in an individual workspace and remote environment
Technical abilities (SQL, Python, etc) are a plus
We know that applying for a new role takes a lot of work and we truly value your time.
Along with your resume, in order for your application to be considered, we ask that you submit a cover letter describing (1) what attracts you to Shopify and (2) your ideas on how Shopify Capital can grow originations.
