The Challenge
Building upon a strongly-profitable, high-growth business as the leading technology platform for independent creators of live events, Eventbrite is rapidly evolving to become the indispensable marketplace for live experiences. Consumers are at the center of Eventbrite’s emerging strategic vision, and our enormous audience scale, closed-loop dataset of ticket-buyer behaviors, and product development and digital marketing capabilities are unmatched advantages ready to be leveraged.
We need an highly analytical and richly experienced leader to help identify and drive tactical and operational improvements that deliver sustainable increases in consumer traffic, ticket volume and financial performance. Think of an internal consulting function squarely aimed at increasing the value of the business and you have Eventbrite’s Business Impact team.

The Team
You will join a highly-engaged and experienced finance team and report to the Chief Financial Officer. You will work closely with members of our product, marketing, sales, finance and legal teams, as well as the Chief Executive Officer, executive staff and senior leaders. The internal environment is fast paced and focused, guided by data and clear decision-making frameworks. We are passionate about live events, hard-working, collaborative, and strongly connected to each other.
The Role
This is a once-in-a-career opportunity to join a well-known, EBITDA positive, public company with category leadership at a moment of strategic inflection, cyclical rebound, and strong secular growth powered by the confluence of the creator economy and humankind’s passion for live experiences. You will be instrumental in accelerating the company’s growth, efficiency and value because you will use data and analysis to solve critical questions, make actionable recommendations and develop cross-functional execution plans that impact performance.

YOU WILL

    • Build a centralized Biz Impact team that provides objective analysis, actionable recommendations and cross-functional coordination to unlock growth, increase efficiency and create value. You will recruit and manage an experienced and highly analytical team of problem-solvers who become trusted and influential partners across the organization.
    • Lead research and analysis that uncovers and explains the roots of any business problem and the heart of new business opportunities. You will go deep into the quantitative and complement that with qualitative insight from experience and outreach. You will prioritize ruthlessly to focus attention and action on the most impactful and critical opportunities within the business.
    • Present findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams and lead the development of appropriate and actionable solutions. You will incorporate relevant feedback and build alignment and conviction for proposed actions.
    • Coordinate the designing of tests and implementation plans to bring growth-driving, value-creating findings to life within the business. You will help establish timelines and assignment of responsibilities, line up go / no go evaluation points, and define what success looks like in empirical and concrete terms.
    • Provide measurement of progress and communication of impact for implemented solutions. You will link key project milestones and KPI metrics to financial outcomes and track the value that is created.

THE SKILLSET

    • Exceptional business judgment and a track record of successfully solving business challenges.
    • Managerial experience leading analytical teams, maintaining extremely high standards for work product, and championing insights into measurable impact.
    • Strong interpersonal and networking skills that activate broad leadership via influence and inclusion rather than by reporting lines alone.
    • Authoritative story-telling and communication abilities that naturally toggle from the deepest detail to the highest-level narratives.
    • Presence and composure to interact effectively with both senior executive management and front-line employees.
    • 6+ years experience in high-quality technology firms, management consulting, investment banking or private equity, with terms of effective operational leadership and managing a team strongly preferred.
