Job Description

The Agency Partners team at Shopify is looking for a Partner Operations Manager to join the team and support everything from operational planning to strategic assessments. From running projects to implementing new program functionality across the region, each day will be different, no task is too big or too small. Being focused & deliberate in how you spend your time, constantly going back to the team’s primary goals & objectives, and ensuring the group is operating in unity will be incredibly important for success in this role.


  • Key contributor to the commercial revenue partnerships team’s metrics with a focus on merchant acquisition, merchant revenue, up-sell/cross-sell opportunities and GMV growth
  • Own partner-driven projects or initiatives for commercial revenue partnerships within the Region 
  • Proactively identifying opportunities that contribute to the partner team’s regional goals
  • Be a key player in cross-functional projects with Sales, Marketing, Merchant Success, Operations, etc.
  • Own the regional partner team’s yearly operational plan, working with leadership to develop out quarterly goals & objectives, defining metrics, and assessing resourcing needs
  • Monitor the regional partnership team’s performance on a weekly and monthly basis and surface opportunities for regional growth and enablement opportunities through qualitative and quantitative research
  • Align with global partner program by vocalizing regional needs and adopting global programs and implement them in region Infrastructure
  • Ensure the team has the infrastructure needed, relying on tools & technology to be more efficient in their day-to-day roles

  • Experience in an operations or project management role 
  • Excellent verbal and written communicator 
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally 
  • Comfortable analyzing and interpreting a variety of business data  
  • Track record of driving efficiency via process implementation and improvement
