Reporting to and supporting the Chief Legal Officer (CLO), the Senior Executive Assistant provides confidential and discretionary support to the CLO and the small but mighty legal team. The successful candidate must have experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where a high degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and adaptability are required. Building great relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, is essential to success in this role.
The Senior Executive Assistant to the CLO will be expected to help in project management as needed on key initiatives for the legal team. They will be expected to be scrappy and hands-on, as and when required - a “no job too big, no job too small” approach  is essential. This is a good opportunity for a driven individual to help shape the development and culture of a growing legal organization.
This is a Remote opportunity within Canada and the US.

What we’re looking for:

    • 5+ years in an executive assistant or executive partner role, working with lawyers or other legal professionals preferred but not essential
    • Demonstrated experience and ability in forming relationships with and working with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external, in a remote-first or remote-only environment
    • Demonstrated aptitude to prioritize tasks based on comparative importance and urgency
    • Solution-oriented, love taking on challenges, and can work successfully against shifting priorities
    • Organized and detail-oriented, to help support our team who has to move fast
    • Demonstrated business professionalism, respect for confidentiality, and appropriate handling of sensitive information
    • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills in various formats, experience with working in Slack or similar IM platforms is a plus
    • Project management or event planning is a nice to have

What you can expect:

    • Coordinate and manage CLO calendar and travel schedule
    • Support CLO inbox and communications, both internal and external
    • Act as a liaison with other EAs and teams
    • Provides assistance on ad-hoc business requests as needed
    • Schedule, lead and participate in team meetings, can develop agendas, keep meeting on track, prioritize and track takeaways and action items
    • Project management on key initiatives for legal team 
    • Work on strategic decks, help with onboarding new team members, offsite planning, and team meetings
    • Help with employee experience and culture for the team
