Working at Atlassian
Atlassian can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Assuming you have eligible working rights and a sufficient time zone overlap with your team, you can choose to work remotely or return to an office as they reopen (unless it’s necessary for your role to be performed in the office). Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.
Our Partnerships team is scaling up, by both deepening relationships with existing partners who build apps on Atlassian and establishing new ones, which presents new opportunities to build programs from the ground up! We are looking for a Group Program Manager to lead and support a team of program managers to guide the Partnerships and Developer Experience team in prioritizing among a fast-changing (and growing!) array of opportunities that surface from our teams and partners.
You and your team will propel them from strategy to action so that time is spent on the most impactful initiatives. You'll report to our Head of Program Management - Economy and create a best-in-class Partner experience by defining and improving infrastructure, tools, content and communication strategies for partners.
You'll strengthen how we communicate progress internally on high visibility programs and coordinate with cross-functional and global teams to keep things moving towards objectives and key results (OKRs), recognizing and managing dependencies our team has on other teams.

What you’ll do:

    • Manage a team of individual contributors, providing performance reviews, coaching, and career growth.
    • Oversee resource allocation and team optimization for effective service delivery.
    • Lead cross functional portfolio of programs -- working closely with project sponsor, teams, and assigned project managers to develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new programs.
    • Communicate regularly with all stakeholders, within the team, the group, and beyond; facilitating program and cross-organization meetings.
    • Track deliverables, identifying any issues and initiating corrective actions and mitigation strategies.
    • Evaluate and overcome program risks, and produce updates for management and stakeholders.
    • Manage and resolve dependencies between different project work streams/projects.
    • Be accountable for the coordinated management of multiple program work streams.

Your background:

    • 10+ years of experience as a program manager or project manager or similar role, initiating and implementing strategic programs.
    • 5+ years experience as a people manager
    • Experience building a team through coaching and career growth opportunities.
    • A "test and learn" mindset for trying new approaches and incorporating insights before scaling programs to include more partners and products.
    • Experience using qualitative analysis to gain an understanding and empathy for partners' needs.
    • Appetite for on-the-job learning and data-gathering to make informed decisions and plans.
    • Experience with the value of metrics and iterative delivery, with enthusiasm for continuous improvement.
    • Appreciate a transparent communication culture that values contributions and feedback from other individuals and teams.
