About the Role
At KOHO Ops, we dive deep into every area of our business to tackle complex problems that don’t fit between the lines.  We own end-to-end delivery of org-spanning projects, find and deliver efficiency/quality improvements across the company, and own relationships and project delivery with key vendors.  We are a high-ambiguity, high-ownership, get-things-done team that is scaling up rapidly to support KOHO’s growth.
As a Business Operations Manager, you’ll be a key player in finding new ways to analyze and optimize our business, driving step-change operational improvements, and taking end-to-end ownership of strategic initiatives.  Your work is inherently cross-functional, and you will quickly develop a deep understanding of our business through regular collaboration and problem-solving with Product, Engineering, Data, Finance, User Success, Risk, and multiple external partners.

What You'll Do

    • Drive step-changes in operational performance - map out complex processes, install new metrics and reporting, find inefficiencies, build playbooks and optimize.
    • Develop and execute strategic projects - think of new ways to analyze our business, identify opportunities, run experiments, and work cross-functionally to execute solutions.
    • Make big decisions with data - Dig deep into our data to solve problems and size opportunities, build models and business plans to enable decision-making.
    • Create leverage - work with teams like Product to conduct research and investigations, build models and tools, streamline processes, build plans and manage projects, etc.

Who You Are

    • 3+ years work experience in a fast-paced, data-driven and high-performance environment (strategy consulting, investment banking, PE/VC, etc).  High-growth startup experience is a plus.
    • Ambitious self-starter - you thrive in ambiguity, learn new things crazy fast, and love big scary challenges that force you to grow.
    • Data-driven problem solver - you break down complex problems, identify root causes, pull your own data and let it win arguments, and translate your insights into action.  Excel is a warm and comfortable place for you, and you’re proficient with SQL.
    • Owner with a bias to action - you are relentless in pursuit of goals, you take accountability for outcomes not tasks, you knock down walls and get things done, and you constantly strive to improve.
    • Excellent communicator - you distill complexity and synthesize points of view to communicate cross-functionally and create transparency on plans and progress.
    • Relationship builder - you can motivate and influence people at all levels and across functions, create win-win situations for your stakeholders.  People like working with you.
    • Level-headed and calm under pressure - your organization and time management skills allow you to context-switch rapidly, manage competing priorities with ease, and maintain high velocity under uncertainty.
